Over the weekend we teamed up with New Balance at Boat Shed Bakery Run Club to celebrate the launch of the New Balance Ellipse.
We had 75+ runners show up, the lake looked unreal, and the vibe was exactly what we want run club to be: social, welcoming, and finished with coffee and pastry.
Why this collab made sense
When we started the bakery (before the cabinets were even installed), we knew we wanted a run club. Not one built around PBs, but one built around people, with a very healthy focus on the finish line rewards.
New Balance felt like a natural fit because they get the lifestyle side of running. Showing up counts. Community counts. The small rituals count. The post-run coffee definitely counts.
About the New Balance Ellipse
Tempo Journal described the Ellipse as a shoe built for everyday miles, featuring a Fresh Foam X midsole. It is the perfect shoe to combine running and bakery stops in, a true lifestyle shoe.
The Ellipse is available worldwide now.
The best part was the community
The highlight was watching people connect.
New faces, familiar faces, a lot of chats on the run, and a bunch of runners hanging around afterwards instead of rushing off. That’s the whole point, losing track of time together.
We also loved being able to treat our regular run club crew, and seeing a few people walk away with New Balance prize packs was the cherry on top.
Want to join boat shed bakery run club?
We run every Saturday at 8am. All paces welcome.
